I found myself hungry, long before dinner time. I also found myself in need of a whole house cleaning. Nothing major (well it needed something major, but it never gets that.)
I was in the mood for some chicken, fries, veggies and ice cream. A real junk food dinner. Apparently these things take forever. (though far cheaper and faster at home than so called fast food)
So I decided to have dinner in 'courses' starting with ice cream. Because who wouldn't want to start dinner with ice cream?
After the ice cream, while waiting for the french fries, I told the kids to clean their rooms. I promised the fries would be ready by the time they were. (I was right)
Then we cleaned up the living room while the chicken cooked.
And finally before the veggies we folded laundry.
Cleaning the kitchen was last followed by a found of Jelly Telly.
It is good to be the parent, you can break all sorts of rules, and still call it a good day.
After all I am sitting here in a relatively clean house, with relatively well fed kids, who were relatively on time for bed.
That is all we aim for each day right?
Sounds good to me!!
