Song School Greek update

I hate it.

She loves it.

Oh how I wish she had never asked me to learn Greek!

I don't speak any Greek, I never studied it, I barely recognize any of the words, and I REALLY don't know the alphabet!

I think I might make a new rule, no languages with non Anglo Saxon alphabets!

But then Little Man would be very disappointed, he really prefers all the Asian languages.

Song School Greek, is not really easy to teach if you don't already know Greek (which brings up the question, do I find Latin for Kids so easy since I know a decent amount of Latin, or because the program makes it easy?)

The video is purely for parents, and very boring, the songs are hard for me to follow, and the work pages keep asking the kids to listen to the teacher (who doesn't know what to do herself!)

Princess enjoys learning the words, but only one so far (in 3 chapters) seems to relate to English today.  Cathedra (of course it doesn't look like that, but I don't think I can type Greek letters...not in blogger anyway)
Anyway it means chair and a cathedral in English is the seat for the Bishop.  Other than that, the kids love saying 'ookie' (no) and Princess loves singing the songs, but I really am not learning Greek myself.

I think it was a bit silly to expect so much for a program designed for younger learners though.
Hopefully the program will grow on me as she continues.
