I just think it is nifty that today is 1/11/11. No particular reason to post.
The kids happen to think the date is neat as well, I have to actually sit down and point these sorts of things out as I don't use the date or go over it nearly as often as I should with the kids.
Days tend to flow together, and shy of knowing the days of the week, the actual dates seem less important. I find myself constantly in list of 'big projects' mode. For example, this week we have co-op, scouts, no music, round table, science center, company dinner, Sunday. Then we reset and begin again. So the day of the week is important, but I rarely ever look at the number.
Fortunately I remembered today when it was a cool number!
We write the date everyday in their devotional book. Either as letters and numbers while we are learning how to write it and what order the months go in or as numbers once we have that done. They both thought todays date was cool too!
