Wrapping up Korea

We finished the last book I found from the library about Korea, as we read the kids saw the map of Korea which looks like a rabbit and remembered Jeju island is 'where the women dive'. And were trying to find the 'Island where the dogs never leave'. (Jindo Loyal Dogs).
Little man instantly recognized the flag of South Korea though he didn't recall what the symbols meant. Dude had to remind me the characters (letters) are called Hangul because yes in less than a month I already forgot. Princess was particularly fascinated by the 'seesaw game' Neolttwigi, 'so the girls could see over the walls'.

It was neat to hear the kids telling me so much, some of which I taught them net searching at home, most of which they learned from another co-op mother.

I have learned how to get my computer to recognize Hangul(as well as other east Asian characters) and that Korean is NOT related to the Chinese or Japanese language, instead it is part of the 'Altic-Turkic' language of central Aisa...haven't looked up anything on that yet.

We have all learned a bit more about Baduk dude particularly enjoys a variety of opponents, unfortunately, during co-op, I found it hard to split my time between Baduk and electricity, two fun subjects that take time.

In spite of listening to some korean on youtube nearly every day, I can't say anything besides "Ahhn niyong" (greeting in Korean).

Ah well any knowledge is better than no knowledge!
