Why on earth haven't I ever studied this fellow before? His work is cute, fun, floating. I like it. Not that I object to much art we study, just that for the first time I really do like more than just a piece of two.
The kids picked their favorites from the Wiki. Dude especially loved "The Swing", "Look they have to use ropes to pull, they aren't just pushing her!" Trust the dude to find science in art class!
Princess preferred "The Reader", as it is bright sunny, and a girl like her reading a book.
Little man is fond of the angels wings in the piece at the bottom of this page. "Sacrifice of the Rose"
I like most of his work, though "Blind Man's Bluff" has a lot of cuteness, playful children, light springtime, airy.
I should spend more time looking at Rococo artwork. I am fond of 'frivolous' and things that are playful.
