Last week my plan was to keep the email inbox at less than 50 items. This week I was to bump it down to less than 40.
Or at least that was the goal, if I could plow through my todo list/email inbox I would feel so accomplished.
But as in many things real life is far harder than bedtime plans.
Apparently I already 'cherry picked' all the easy stuff, and now I am left with hard things. Which brings up the question, is cherry picking easy? Why do we call it cherry picking when the kids grab the socks instead of folding the shirts? I get the phrase 'grabbing the low hanging fruit', but having never seen a live cherry tree, I don't quite know why it would be bad to 'cherry pick'.
And I wonder, could I spend the next hour wondering around etymology sites instead of actually dealing with emails? Scratch that, I know the answer, I most certainly can, the real question is will I.
