From one of those 'girl' books Princess discovered a smoothie recipe and really wanted to try it. I have never liked smoothies, but I aim to let her try any and all healthy foods as often as possible.
It was super quick and easy to make, only 3 ingredients, barely any measuring. Princess can do everything herself, except find the 'blender' attachment. (which is buried under a huge pile of stuff I aught to sort out clean up and get rid of in the kitchen.)
Turns out I actually like the smoothie! At least when it is made with extra strawberries I do.
Simple Smoothie:
1 heaping cup frozen fruit (we have tried strawberries, blueberries, and mixed)
1 container (6 oz size) of lemon, vanilla, or plain Greek yogurt. (the Greek is less sweet and has way more protein)
1/2 cup milk (ish)
Blend and enjoy!
Dude does not like the smoothie, but he does like Greek yogurt with just a drizzle of honey on top.
I assume the kind of yogurt, and amount of sugar in it will make a difference in the final smoothie taste (and health) For now we use the Dannon naturals.
