3 in 30 March

First of all, I found where I got the idea from.  FB has a whole page devoted to this 3 in 30 thing.

So March goals.....
1. Build a Viking ship...you know if I failed in one month, what makes me thing 30 more day will help?  Eternal hope.  The only reason parents can drag themselves out of bed to face another day of working on tantrums, bed-wetting, or chemistry.  (whatever your own personal bane may be)

2.Clear out the Game cupboard.  The whole closet cleaning thing felt so good I thought I should try it again.  Hopefully by the end of the month  I will be able to find the games I want, and still be able to shut the door.

3. Do 5 things, 5 times a week. I need to lose this baby weight instead of gaining more.  Big plans never work for me, but the simplicity of 5 things (I can count on my hand and I can do them most anywhere).  This I can stick with.  Would certainly be lovely to add some grand plan of moving up to a while 15 later on, but really I know myself, big plans never work out well.

Ah well, I wanted to start working out with something simple, easy, that I knew I could do.  Because I have so often in the past.  So long as I manage to remain non pregnant, I can do 5 simple things 5 times a week.

The 5 things:
a. Some crunches.  I know nothing like vague easy to set goals!
b. Some isometric leg work, I am fond of that simple word 'some'
c. Some isometric arm work
d. Drink a whole lot more water!  5 glasses a day?  prolly too much, how about some.
e. Move for 5 minutes (typing doesn't count, maybe a walk to the creek?)

Those 5 things are pretty much the same that I pick up after every baby, has worked in the past to get me close to pre-baby weight. (5 weekly miles manages to get me back in proper shape after 5 months-not gonna happen just yet though) I will be happy if at the end of the month I feel like I am going the right direction.  A whole jean size is too much to ask I guess.

  2. Good Morning!! Why do you think you're doing wrong? I got your comment on my post, you mentioned you thought you were doing this 3in30 thing wrong. You're NOT!! However, I didn't understand your first goal, build a viking ship. BUT I understood 2 and 3 - You go girl! I know you were trying to be "cute" with the word some - my only thought was give it a number - what number IS some? When we can CLEARLY define our goal we will get better results. SO, consider giving your 5 things numbers like 50 crunches - walk for 30 minutes, even if it's around the house briskly up and down stairs, etc. You know what I'm talkin' about. =) You are doing something!!

  3. Oh the ship is a megablock monstrosity that is supposed to be a decoration in the living room. (because toy/kid art is more likely to match than any art deco/modern look)

You are right some is pretty silly, but also easy. I'll think about a number.
