Well the end of the month is here. If I had been on the ball I would have updated throught the month.
Of course being me, I wasn't anywhere near a ball. Too klutzy.
Though I once did try a month of sitting on a giant ball to see if it would tone my core muscles while I played on the computer. It worked fine, and was kinda fun to bounce and surf at the same time. Then I got pregnant, that was the end of that. If I ever manage a month of not nursing and not being pregnant, I think I will go buy another giant ball and try again.
Now back to my goals.
1. Build a viking ship. Nope, not done. I know you all thought that would be the easy one. I did set aside several mornings for the kids and husband to work on the ship. I cleared the way, they had several fun mornings of playing. And yet somehow I still do not have a viking ship to display. Part of the trouble is I planned a goal, that I can't do. I HATE megablocks, they do not stick, they are not uniform, the directions are lousy, and the pieces feel cheap. Sadly I have no room to really hide them, so building the ship, which will look pretty nifty from a distance (and placed atop the highest shelf in the living room leaves it quite a distance from all but my tallest friends), was my 'solution'. I am not sure if I should just drop it, or attempt to impress upon the family how important completing this task is?
2. Rearrange the closet my way. DONE! Yep, I can now walk in my walk in closet. I comprimised by letting my husband have the back wall any way he likes, and by leaving a half built lego castle in their for Dude. (only safe place from the youngest two) The rest of it is in good shape, easy to find what I stored, and room for more of the same, which I keep finding as I clean out the rest of the house.
Special Bonus, I have a clean bedroom! Almost, there is a sword that needs hung on the wall, and a pile of GS cookies that will leave next Saturday, but other than that, it is clean, really really clean. I love it. I actually walk in my room and smile multiple times a day. Sometimes I feel like that commercial for fabreeze where the person keeps opening the door just to breath in. Only my bedroom smells just the same as the rest of the house, just looks cleaner.
.8 Ah here we run into a bit of a trouble, I had good intentions really I did. The first day I sat down and slogged through a ton, getting it down to less than 30. And then I kinda petered out. Right now it sits at 47. So I didn't even really get .5 of the way through it.
I really don't like email, the whole communication thing is difficult, and then there is all the work. Scout work, 4H work, science Olympiad, and the occasional email of interesting things I aught to let the kids play with. It is one giant todo list. A list that I ignore with regularity.
I shall go peek there right now and will get something done......Sigh, in over 30 minutes I have gone from over 40...to 35. Well it is closer anyway. I also have several events on my calender instead of in an email, more likely to remember to go. Several folk have received an 'I'm working on it' email, and hopefully archiving the email wont make me forget to follow up. And a few 'items of interest' I just archived, if I have a spare 20 minutes to show the kids when they have a computer handy I can just search them out of the archives.
So I guess a new month means new goals? It was hard enough to complete these ones!
I think you did great, especially considering you have 4 kids 8 and under!!
