For two weeks around the holidays I don't have scouts, or 4H, or co-op, or music, or well. anything. I never really took advantage of the time before. This year was different.
It started with me losing the cord to plug in my phone. All of the sudden I couldn't check my email when I first woke up. I couldn't update Facebook in between kid issues and chores. And I didn't know if scouts or co-op needed me.
So I stopped checking my email at night too, I figured it would be full and take way to long, and I was tired.
Same with Facebook. Though I cheated and peeked there often enough to know my grandnephew took his first step, and a couple good friends are now pregnant.
I enjoyed the time off so much I think I want to make it a tradition!
Though I did miss several of the blogs I have been following, I knew if I logged in to read any, I would stick around and read them all, plus a few side surfing trips, and I would wind up spending hours on the computer.
Instead I spent a lot of time with my family playing games, a lot of time cleaning, and a good bit of thinking. (I didn't even read a book!)
The time off has done me some good I think. My mood is better if not my cleaning/housekeeping skills!
You were missed, severely!! But I'm glad you had the time!
