After a rather bustling week of getting ready for company, being company, various scout events and such. I woke up yesterday and didn't do a thing. I avoided all important work, and just made sure the kids were safe, fed, and nope not particularly clean.
Of course today we made up for it by waking up and working our tails off to get ready for tomorrow and a new week of work, but mad it felt very 'rich' to just take a day and do nothing very important.
We even had leftovers for every meal so no real cooking. I did run a load of diapers and some towels, plus dishes, but that sort of thing is basic, like diaper changes, doesn't count as work. (though I would relish a day without all three)
I did point out to the kids multiple times that this was a major luxury and they were to take advantage of it while it lasted. I also found a new time waster, and online game of empire building. I will have to come up with some reason why it is educational for Dude to play since he loves it and it is easy enough for him.
Now back to work today.
Doesn't sound like a waste of a day to me!! And I would love to come do your dishes, laundry and change diapers so you don't have to do anything! Sigh
