We used one of those free Blockbuster codes to rent "How to Train a Dragon" this week. Right from the start you could tell it was going to be very different from the books.
Basically the dragons and vikings are mortal enemies, rather than vikings kidnapping baby dragons and training them. Of course in both the day is saved by Hiccup being..well Hiccup. Which is to say, not your typical viking.
For the first time I like the movie better! The books are not bad, I just kinda like the way the movie worked out the plot line. There are some minor plot holes, but nothing to damaging.
Our YS likes this too, he enjoys the Wii game also (on the rare occasion I allow him to rent it!)
