Latin chants rock.

Since we received the CD with our Latin for children, we have listened in the car most days.  Maybe not the whole car trip, but a few minutes each time we drive.

Tonight I asked little Man if he knew what 'earth' was in Latin, Baby Girl pipes up 'terra terra urss urss'...umm yes dear very good, but let your big brother have a turn.

A little later she chimes with 'wia wia road way'.  Since she wanted to be a part of the show we started asking her some questions, she doesn't  seem to have picked up any of the verbs, and only a handful of the 70 or so words he has worked on.  But she does have 'O, S, T, mus, tis unt' which is the verb conjugation endings.  So she is picking up quite a lot from just listening to the CD in the car.

Dude is the only one doing the workbook and activity book and so he does know the most.  He really seems to be able to conjugate the verbs, and decline the nouns.  He is even fairly good at spelling in Latin.

I am pretty happy with the program, entertaining enough to keep me interested, and easy enough to follow Both Dude (4th grade) and Baby Girl (2years) are picking up plenty of the basics.

The only complaint I have so far  is that somewhere on one of the later tracks the CD starts to skip.  So we might have to ask for a replacement.  I hope that is easy, because we really do enjoy the CD chants.
