Math workout

Delivering my Newest Little one had a wonderful effect on my weight.  I lost a good 20 lbs that night.  (only 7.5 were her).  Unfortunately I still have 20-40 to go (depending on which pre-baby weight we are aiming for...)

This morning I started doing some basic calisthenics to help me reach my goal.  Baby Girl was awake and decided to join in.  I realized every kid at about her age has joined me in working out. Along the way we reinforce counting, opposites, comparisons, and body parts.

Today for example she was lifting her legs with me saying 'up down, up down'. She even sometimes had the leg up for up and down for down.

She also had plenty of practice counting to 20 as I did did tons of crunches and such, in short segments.  I figure I can use her as the excuse for not doing more than 20, it will be awhile before she is ready to count to more.

We even got some practice with left vs right, as I switched from one side to the other.

And the cutest part was comparing my Little One (6 weeks old) to Baby Girl to me.  Baby girl has been working on the difficult concept that she is bigger than Little One, but smaller than Mommy.

All sorts of fun concepts covered in an impromptu session.  I love how she learns while goofing off with me.
