Quid est up?

Still playing around with free stuff while waiting for the curriculum.

We tried this full Latin story, and had quite a bit of trouble decoding the words.  Though we did learn a color or two.. Course my old fantasy game playing helped.  Amazing how much Latin was used to differentiate yet another set of caerul armor.

So I thought we had better try a spliced story next.  Hence the post title.  Quid means what, est 'is'.  I have no idea about 'Up' in Latin, but I can easily combine the three.  Of course I have no idea which form of Qui, Qua, Quid I should use.  Baby steps folks baby steps.

Side note, the spell checker knows Qua and Quid, but not Qui...I am certain Qui is a form of 'what'.  Guess it just isn't a popular form.

One of the oddest things I am learning about Latin is that word order doesn't matter.  So the title could be "Up quid est?"  assuming I had the right form of Quid and Est that is.

Learning the forms (conjugation) is one reason why I want to go with a formal program for Latin.  I just don't know enough myself.

We also listened to part 3 of the Princess story, haven't done the print out yet though

We are still enjoying the Latin game, the kids scores are getting better, so we moved up to harder levels.
