I mentioned earlier some of the things we are doing to study Monet.
Well here's more. We watched this video of his works and then tried to paint like him:
with very little success.
I have no idea what happened to the other two kids' paintings. These are both by Princess.
regardless the kids loved looking at his work, recognizing a great deal of it, and best of all - seeing several of his 'day and night paintings. Monet liked to paint the same scene with different light. That video often put them in sequence so you could 'watch the sun set' almost.
This is a nice video of the gardens as they currently look. Or rather, looked in 07. I used to have quite a few photos from my trip, but they seem quite lost. Organization is not my strong suit.
