So how goes the plan?

We started off 2010 with a cool plan, And like most of my plans, things didn't turn out quite as expected.

Nature wise, I was able to get the kids to take a look at some real trees and plants for a few outdoor visits, I was also witness to a catapult that fractured a nice 2*4. And several other stick and stone contraptions. Apparently engineering is more interesting than nature. I can't say as I blame the kids, but I will continue to aim for more nature 'tasks' in the future months. Maybe a cloud journal?

Oh and that writing, I had the big idea to start with a collaborative story. I had no idea how far they would take it. The kids are still writing, though mostly I or Daddy type. The kids have learned a bit more about describing things, and transitions. And I have learned a cool new 'fantasy' story. I can't share the whole thing, as they are less interested in finishing and more interested in telling a full story. But I will put 'installment one' up. Anyway I have no desire to add another goal when they are still having so much fun with the first. (Though making a youtube type video sounds like fun; but only I am bored with the writing.)

Piano on the other hand has proven a sticky wicket. Mondays were not working for the teacher, and time was not working in our favor. This month Co-op has switched to Tuesday, which will work better for the teacher. But not the first Tuesday, I had a midwife appointment! So really February is the month it will happen.
