Looking into Hindi

Next month the co-op is looking at India, interesting country full of languages, several hundred to be precise.

So looking at the list I decided I would 'train the ears' with some Hindi, a quick peek at youtube proved there are a lot of videos geared toward kids and throw in a few 'grown up songs' for variety. Unfortunately I have not found all the 'basics' (alphabet, counting, colors) But I have found quite a list, and besides I have 28 days to find more.

The 'country lady' has already found out that Parcheesi originated there, and info on Amy Carmichael a missionary to India, she even died her skin to make it easier to work in India in the 40's.

I love that the co-op has so many folk with great talents to bring to the kids, cause I am not that fond of geography!

Grandpa sent us a link to local ethnic clubs. Would be pretty neat if we can get a native to come in and talk to the kids for a short time.
