We got an Ikea Catalog in the mail! It is big thick and full of rooms with all sorts of lovely furniture options!
I promptly sat down and showed the kids how to play. Princess started with a budget of $1000 and started to design the dream bedroom for a 'grown up girl'.
She started subtracting pretty well, but then started to get confused between dollars and cents. Some prices are listed like this: $125 while others are listed $125 This confused her into thinking she had to pay almost the same price for the bedding as she did for the bed!
After we worked that out she has a cute list of a neato room, oh and she practiced plenty of math.
The boys had no interest in trying the game out, and I didn't push. Though I just might challenge them all to design a living room or kitchen together some day.
Haven't seen one of those in awhile. Sounds like fun.
