My kids have been in a Christmas mood. First they made Christmas presents, and hid them in their rooms.
Then they started making Christmas decorations out of q-tips. I have a whole box of Q tips that got just a smidgen wet one day, so I don't think they are clean enough to use for faces. The box is perfect for crafts. Unfortunately the decoration making began before I woke up so they already had several adorable snowflakes made from the new box.
Then they decided to practice their Christmas recipes. In case you wondered how a kid who isn't allowed to use the oven (because we have no AC here and it is generally way to hot to even think of an oven) makes cinnamon rolls and apple cobbler here you go:
Cinnamon sushi:
Dudes recipe
Eat just the crust of two slices of bread
Butter the bread
Sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar
Roll up into a 'log'
Pop into the microwave for 30 seconds
Slice into mini rolls.
Apple Cobbler:
Princess' recipe
Eat just the crust of two slices of bread
Butter the bread
Slice an apple and put some slices on once of the pieces of bread
Sprinkle tops with cinnamon and sugar
cover with the other slice of bread - crimp edges
Cook in microwave for 30 seconds
that sounds like fun!!!
