My kids finished reading the required books for the Barnes and Noble summer reading, but it wasn't until yesterday that we were able to make it to the store to pick up their free book.
Princess picked 'Sleepover Sleuths'.
Little Man picked 'James and the Giant Peach'.
Dude picked "Gregor the Overlander "
Baby Girl only managed to read 4 books so far. We will let her keep working on the list.
Now we are off the library to pick up their summer reading program forms.
For the older children it is always 20 hours, For the younger it is 20 books read to them. I will enjoy the break from trying to help Baby girl read her whole book, and instead relax and just read to her.
In about two weeks when we finish the library program we will start the Boarders plan.
My kids love to read, so we don't really need a program, but we always find it fun to see what we can accomplish. Plus everyone loves to have a new book!
We just finished our Borders one this morning and will stop on the way to PA. For Barnes and Noble ours picked, Stanley Flat Again, the Hamster one, the American Girl one and Curious George in two languages. Can't wait to see what we do for borders. Wish our library had a nice program like that.
