Dude requested that we learn the last verse in the bible. I was a little worried since Revelations has never been my favorite book.
I opened it up and turns out Revelations 22:21 is "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people, Amen"
So there we have the 'final word' so to speak. The kids thought it was pretty cool.
And you know it can't be all bad if the 'end' is reminding us of grace.
Both of the older two are doing very well in learning so many verses, and I find myself able to pull up the verse for appropriate moments. Not always, but every once in awhile. I want to continue to learn verses, but also start to work on some passage stories.
We have been starting our mornings off with some readings out of Proverbs. I reread 1:7 "Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline" at the start of each day. It has led to lots of talks about what discipline is and why Mommy and Daddy insist on doing it.
I hope the kids will get the idea that we are trying to help them, not that we are just plain mean.
I just wanted to let you know I have an award for you at my blog.

Rebecca, the link up thing didn't work for me, that's why I just commented. But I do read and enjoy your weekly planting!
