Getting the basics out of the way with song

I have a song list that plays most naptimes, covering the basic information for my kids. I find songs are a great way to remind children of information. (I humm they recall the words... sometimes)

In my play list are several different songs with the same type of information, I tend to mix up the order so you get a bit of variety rather than 5 songs all about the alphabet in a row.

Days of the week:
Days of the week
Days with icecream

Months of the year:
Months and number of days/weeks Fellow singing has an accent that might bother some (Decembuh instead of December)
Months of year lullaby
12 months cheer

Numbers and counting:
Counting 1-10 and back
Skip counting
Counting to 100
Counting to 20
Teddy bear song to 10

Alphabet and sounds:
'Cool' alphabet song
A your adorable, with sign
ASL alphabet
The Alphabet, no phonics

Shapes:
Seasame street
Marmot's Map shapes
Kids Karaoke shape clues
